Sully Historic Site

Sully Historic Site Private Family Tour - 2pm Forgotten Road Tour

Enjoy a private 45-minute tour for your household group of the 1794 dwelling, built for Richard Bland Lee, Northern Virginia’s first Congressman. The story includes his family, political career and the life of the enslaved community that supported Sully. Two floors of the main house are open, with interpreters on each floor for questions. The outdoor Forgotten Road Tour includes a walk into the original outbuildings and slave quarter on your own as your guide interprets the buildings outside on each stop. This history reflects the work of enslaved people over 200 years ago. Sully is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, is on the National Register of Historic Places and is part of the National Park Service Underground Railroad Network to Freedom.
