(6-13 yrs) For students who have never skated before, this class helps develop preliminary coordination and strength necessary for ice skating. Students learn basic elements including falling safely, sitting on ice and standing up, marching in place, marching forward across the ice, marching then gliding on two feet, forward two-foot glide, dipping in place, forward swizzles, backward wiggles and other skills geared toward balance, movement and coordination. Helmets are required.
