Learn how to teach the American Red Cross basic level Lifeguarding,
Shallow Water Attendant, Rescuer, Administering Emergency Oxygen, Bloodborne Pathogens, Preventing Disease Transmission, Basic Water Rescue and Lifeguard Management courses. Prerequisites: must be at least 17 years old on or before the last day of class and must possess a current American Red Cross Lifeguard, YMCA Lifeguard, or the Ellis and Associates International Lifeguard Training certificate. Must also pass a pre-course screening which includes a written exam and swim 300 yards using front crawl or breaststroke and swim 20 yards, retrieve a brick from the deep end and return to the starting point and exit the water in no more than one minute and 30 seconds. Fee of $25
payable to ARC prior to start of the class.
