(15-Adult) Maria Schwartz is Emeritus Professor of History at the University of Rhode Island. Author of multiple books on the history of enslaved individuals in America, in this talk she will be discussing her most recent book on the first ladies and their relationship with slaveholding culture. Lecture will be followed by white wine (must be 21+ with ID) and refreshments. Advance registration due November 7.
