ACTion! KPOP Dreamin' Stunners (7-14 yrs)

(7-14 yrs.) In this NEW Moonlit Wings camp, kids jump into original scenes and high-energy choreography set to music inspired by the Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters and K-pop hits from groups like KATSEYE, BTS, and more. Campers also explore improvisation games, character creation and a talent show while building imagination, confidence, and collaboration. All experience levels welcome. Sessions that meet for five days will conclude with a mini performance for family and friends on Friday. (Prefer behind-the-scenes? Teens ages 14+ may register separately for our ACTivate! Teens Behind-the-Scenes tech track.)


ACTivate! Teens Behind the Scenes (14-16yrs)

(14-16 yrs.) In this NEW Moonlit Wings camp, teens join the tech track as Jr. Directors, helping lead acting activities, improv games, staging and choreography. Teens assist with basic tech like sets, costumes, lighting, and sound—building leadership and production skills. These programs are partnered with Moonlit Wings camps. View the schedule to determine which camp you will work with. ACTify camps are more production-focused with a longer show, while ACTion and Applause offer shorter performances, theatre games, and swim time at select locations. No camp July 3.


Adventures on the Farm (6-10 yrs)

(6-10 yrs.) In this Katydid camp, campers spend the morning on the farm with visits to animals, hikes, games and crafts. Campers then head indoors for the afternoon to learn about lives 100 years ago through toys, games, crafts, and pictures. Children must have completed kindergarten. AKC Trick Dog (14-Adult)

(14-Adult) Prerequisite: Completion of Fairfax County Dog Obedience 1 or instructor permission. Trick training allows an owner and dog to bond in a creative, fun way and helps improve a dog’s focus, confidence, and impulse control while building on the basic cues learned in Dog Obedience 1. Students will have the opportunity to take the AKC Novice and/or Advanced Trick Dog tests and earn an AKC title. Canine Good Citizen behaviors will also be practiced in class. Dogs must be at least 8 months old and show no signs of aggression.


All About Animals (3.5-6 yrs)

(3.5.-6 yrs.) This Katydid Kids camp, based at the Old Floris Schoolhouse, includes daily farm visits. Learn facts and stories about the animals through indoor and outdoor games, songs and puppetry. Bring lunch, snack, and water bottle daily. Child must be potty-trained. Specifics/questions call 703-689-3104 or info@katydidkids.com. No camp June 19 or July 4. Camps the week of June 9 for non-FCPS participants. Camp is licensed: requires immunization record and proof of identity with camp paperwork. No camp June 19 and July 3. FCPS last day of school June 17.


All About Horses Summer Camp (11-14 yrs.)

(11-14 yrs.) Campers learn about tacking, grooming, general horse care and barn chores and enjoy daily 30-minute riding lessons. Other horse-related activities include arts and crafts, equine speakers and breed demos. Bring snack, lunch and drink. Wear proper shoes/boots, comfortable clothes, riding breeches or long, tight stretchy pants. Spirit Equestrian provides campers with a helmet, but if you choose to bring your own helmet, it must be ASTM/SEI certified riding helmet. No camp July 3.

(6-9yrs) Farm animals have many needs from food to medicine to just the right living spaces. Practice being a vet with STEM activities and daily hands-on access to animals. Games, crafts, and activities round out this camp.


Applause! Aladdin (7-14 yrs.)

"(7-14 yrs.) In this Moonlit Wings two-week camp, kids perform an original musical adventure where The Magic Carpet takes the lead, helping Aladdin and his fellow orphans outsmart an evil sorcerer and discover a whole new world. Explore improvisation games, character creation, a talent show, while developing imagination, storytelling skills, and teamwork. All levels welcome. Applause! Movie Musicals Mania (7-14yrs)

(7-14 yrs.) In this Moonlit Wings two-week camp, kids bring Hollywood favorites from the screen to the stage. Perform in original scenes and songs inspired by musical hits like Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, Encanto and more. Explore improvisation games, character creation and a talent show while developing imagination, storytelling skills, and teamwork. All levels welcome. Family/friends enjoy a mini performance on the last day. Rec Center camps bring swimsuit/towel for afternoon swim break. (Prefer behind-the-scenes? Baroody Fishing Camp (9-14 yrs.)

(9-14 yrs.) An immersive week-long day camp that offers young anglers a comprehensive fishing experience. From mastering the intricacies of fishing equipment to understanding fish behavior and responsible angling practices, campers will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to become self-reliant anglers. Campers will fish in a variety of scenic locations, including freshwater ponds, rivers, lakes, and even the Chesapeake Bay.


Battle Royale in the Forest

(6-Adult) There is a battle going on in an ancient forest in our parks. Come take a hike through the forest to learn about the fight of the native inhabitants of our special forest community for dominance and learn how you can help them in their plight.


Blast Through the Past Travel Camp (9-12 yrs)

(9-12 yrs.) Travel through time and space and the history of the USA to celebrate the 250th anniversary of 1776. Explore our country’s history through daily historical excursions throughout the area and activities and step into the shoes of our forebearers and get a taste of history this summer!


Campfire Wagon Ride

(2-Adult) Enjoy an intimate after hours experience at the farm as day turns to night. Register for a wagon ride time and enjoy the bonfire after your ride. Staff will provide marshmallows for roasting but feel free to bring along any other treat for yourselves.


Chess Camp (6-13yrs)

(6-13 yrs.) This Silver Knights camp has taught the great strategy game to more than 100,000 children including national champions. This camp is for advanced players to sharpen their skills or beginners who want to learn the game. Campers will learn the rules, openings, tactics, strategy, endgames, while playing games and taking outdoor breaks. Bring a lunch, snack, and drink. Campers will receive a t-shirt and chess set on Friday. No camp June 19 and July 3.


Competitive Dog Agility I (14-Adult)

(14-Adult) Prerequisite: Dog Obedience I or equivalent. Dogs must have one primary handler for the entire session. This class focuses on basic skills needed to succeed in agility and to make agility a game your dog will love. A minimum of 75% class attendance and contact/target behavior is required for progression. Attendance at first class is mandatory. Dog and handler are assessed at first class.


Competitive Dog Agility II (14-Adult)

(14-Adult) Prerequisite: Competitive Dog Agility I. Dogs and handlers build on the skills introduced in Level I such as clicker training, building focus, attention and teamwork, targeting, basic handling and obstacle skills. Dogs are exposed to all agility equipment. Dogs must have one primary handler for the entire session. Attendance at first class is mandatory, and overall attendance is required for progression. Bring dogs to first class.


Country & Western Line Dancing Begin I 13+

(13-Adult) A variety of country and western line dances. Singles and couples welcome. ~


Country & Western Line Dancing Begin II 13+

(13-Adult) Prerequisite: Country & Western Line Dance Beginning I or equivalent. ~
