(Adults) This class is designed for participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Participants explore a variety of art materials and techniques including drawing, painting and collage while developing fine motor skills, self-expression, and creativity. Projects are adapted to support individual learning styles. All materials are provided.

(Adults) Pickleball is a fast-paced paddle sport that combines tennis, table tennis and badminton. Join us to learn the rules of the game, the basics and practice skills. Campers will work together as a team while competing in lightly competitive tournament style matches.

(Adults) Join our experienced instructors and immerse yourselves in the great outdoors with our all-adult adventure camp. Experience the Potomac River from every angle. Go rock climbing overlooking the river in Carderock MD (transportation not included), do a fish and float trip from Clark’s Branch, and take a guided hike down to Great Falls to learn the history and geography of the gorge and end the week learning primitive skills and enjoying a campfire cookout. Prior fishing/boating experience is not required; beginners welcome. No camp June 19.

(Adults) Immerse yourselves into the wilderness with our all-adult adventure camp! Join a group of women to learn practical primitive skills and how protect the outdoors through leave no trace principles. Activities include rock climbing along the Potomac in Carderock MD (transportation not included), paddling, fire building, outdoor cooking, archery, setting up a campsite, and foraging. No camp June 19.

(6 mos.-18 mos.) Register your baby for this class designed for babies and their parent(s), or other favorite adult who want to learn water adjustment and aquatic skills together. Learn how to enter and exit the water in a safe manner, feel comfortable in the water and explore submerging to the mouth, nose and eyes. Explore buoyancy on front and back, change body position and learn safety information. Two adults may participate with each child. Babies must wear tight-fitting swim diaper and plastic pants under bathing suit.

(Adults) Learn to identify Riverbend's beautiful spring ephemerals, and discover the folklore that has grown up around them. Meet at Visitor Center to walk along the banks of the Potomac River. Canceled if it rains.

Add some cheer to your day with the Park Authority's carousels. Choose between classic charm and modern fun, featuring both moving and stationary seating. Children under 42 inches tall require a ticket, and one accompanying parent may stand for free. A second adult, or parents of children 42 inches or taller, will need tickets. All riders under age 18 must purchase tickets. Adults may stand but are not permitted to ride the carousel horses. Weight limit: 170 pounds.
