Codebreakers: Spy Games (6-12 yrs)

(6-12 yrs.) Campers learn encryption, ciphers, and decoding puzzles in this Athena camp. Hands-on activities connect logic and spy missions. Campers registered for both AM and PM sessions may choose to remain on site for a supervised lunch break.


3D Game Design with Unity (11-14 yrs.)

(11-14 yrs.) With Unity, an industry-grade design software, aspiring game designers will learn level editing, 3D modeling, impactful gameplay creation, as well as how to utilize scripts and variables. Projects will be available on Black Rocket’s protected website. Compatible with MAC and Windows OS only and requires a 64-bit operating system. This is an online camp. Log-in information will be sent by email the weekend before the camp begins.

Accotink Adventure Camp (9-13 yrs.)

(9-13 yrs.) Join us for the ultimate outdoor camp! Activities include fishing, hiking, kayaking, animal tracking, and animal identification. Bring lunch, snack and water bottle daily. Camps run rain or shine. Contact the park for details on extreme weather days. No camp July 3.


ACTify! Willy Wonka Jr. (8-15 yrs)

(8-15 yrs.) In this NEW Moonlit Wings two-week camp, young performers stage Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka, bringing to life a sweet-filled musical adventure inside the magical chocolate factory. Kids put on an exciting one-act show with music, costumes, and basic tech, developing on-stage skills and teamwork for a special public performance. This theatre camp meets 9-4pm weekdays, except the day before the performance which ends at 5 p.m. and the final day which ends after the 6 p.m. show. All levels welcome. (Prefer behind-the-scenes? Action Movie & Pokemon Flix (7-13 yrs)

(7-13 yrs.) Two camps in one with Incrediflix. In the mornings, there’s no limits in your action packed movie when using a green screen and camera tricks. Collaborate to write, act, and direct in this stunt packed movie where you'll be taught action choreography to thrill the audience. In the afternoon, make your own stop-motion movie using Pokemon characters. Work in small groups to storyboard, film, and voice-over your adventure, and no Pokémon knowledge needed.


ACTion! Backstage Camp (7-14 yrs)

(7-14 yrs.)  In this NEW Moonlit Wings one-week camp, kids step backstage to explore theatre magic through stage and special effects make-up, sketching set and costume designs, and an introduction to stage management. Campers may also help create small props or set pieces while enjoying acting games and improvisation. When paired with a performing arts camp, the week ends with a Friday showcase featuring their backstage contributions (Backstage campers do not perform on stage). Supply fee: $35, payable to the camp vendor, includes a personal make-up kit and design materials. (Too old for this camp? Teens ages 14+ may register separately for our “ACTivate! ACTion! Broadway Camp (7-14 yrs)

(7-14 yrs.) In this Moonlit Wings camp, young performers shine as they sing, dance, and act along to favorite show tunes and original scenes inspired by Broadway’s biggest hits. Campers explore character creation, theatre games and a talent show while building confidence, creativity, and stage presence. All experience levels welcome. Sessions that meet for five days will conclude with a mini performance for family and friends on Friday. Rec Center camps bring swimsuit/towel for afternoon swim break. (Prefer behind-the-scenes? ACTion! KPOP Dreamin' Stunners (7-14 yrs)

(7-14 yrs.) In this NEW Moonlit Wings camp, kids jump into original scenes and high-energy choreography set to music inspired by the Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters and K-pop hits from groups like KATSEYE, BTS, and more. Campers also explore improvisation games, character creation and a talent show while building imagination, confidence, and collaboration. All experience levels welcome. ACTion! Pop Star Spotlight (7-14yrs)

(7-14 yrs.) In this Moonlit Wings camp, kids take center stage to star in original scenes and sing and dance to popular radio hits by today’s pop stars and legendary icons. Campers also explore improvisation games, character creation and a talent show while building imagination, storytelling skills, and teamwork. All experience levels welcome. ACTivate! Teens Behind the Scenes (14-16yrs)

(14-16 yrs.) In this NEW Moonlit Wings camp, teens join the tech track as Jr. Directors, helping lead acting activities, improv games, staging and choreography. Teens assist with basic tech like sets, costumes, lighting, and sound—building leadership and production skills. These programs are partnered with Moonlit Wings camps. View the schedule to determine which camp you will work with. ACTify camps are more production-focused with a longer show, while ACTion and Applause offer shorter performances, theatre games, and swim time at select locations. No camp July 3.


Adult Pickleball Camp (Adults)

(Adults) Pickleball is a fast-paced paddle sport that combines tennis, table tennis and badminton. Join us to learn the rules of the game, the basics and practice skills. Campers will work together as a team while competing in lightly competitive tournament style matches.


Adventures in Geology & Hydrology (9-12yr)

(9-12 yrs.) See how the park’s geology is affected by the hydrology of the Pohick Creek which runs through it. Explore both the aquatic and terrestrial environs as campers learn what rocks/minerals, fish, and plants call this home. This camp has a very active field study approach with hands-on learning in the natural setting.


All About Animals (3.5-6 yrs)

(3.5.-6 yrs.) This Katydid Kids camp, based at the Old Floris Schoolhouse, includes daily farm visits. Learn facts and stories about the animals through indoor and outdoor games, songs and puppetry. Bring lunch, snack, and water bottle daily. Child must be potty-trained. Specifics/questions call 703-689-3104 or info@katydidkids.com. No camp June 19 or July 4. Camps the week of June 9 for non-FCPS participants. Camp is licensed: requires immunization record and proof of identity with camp paperwork. No camp June 19 and July 3. FCPS last day of school June 17.


All About Horses Summer Camp (8-10 yrs.)

(8-10 yrs.) Campers will learn about tacking, grooming, general horse care and barn chores and enjoy daily 30-minute riding lessons. Other horse-related activities include arts and crafts, equine speakers and breed demos. Bring a lunch, snack and drink. Wear proper shoes/boots, comfortable clothes, riding breeches or long, tight stretchy pants. Spirit Equestrian provides campers with a helmet, but if you choose to bring your own helmet, it must be ASTM/SEI certified riding helmet.


All-American Diner Road Trip (6-10 yrs)

(6-10 yrs.) Campers join Tiny Chefs to make different Diner and Drive Thru Delights from scratch including panko chicken bites and a burger and shake. By the end of this camp your Tiny Chef will feel a sense of confidence in the kitchen with their certificate of completion and be open to trying a variety of new flavors. Tiny Chefs reviews products for allergy warnings indicated on the label. Tiny Chefs is not held liable for allergens not listed on product packaging, and environmental factors or cross-contamination. Tiny Chefs can accommodate some mild allergies based on our discretion. Examples of ingredients used in our camps: dairy, egg, wheat/gluten, soy, coconut, sesame. We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.


All-American Girl: Living Dolls Camp (5-8yrs)

(5-8 yrs.) Pack up your favorite doll and experience the life of an American girl growing up in different eras in history. Bring these times to life with your doll through activities, costumes, crafts and themed games in a beautiful historic setting. No camp July 3.


Allegro Song & Voice Camp (6-12 yrs)

(6-12 yrs.) In this high energy Rich Sandler song and voice camp, campers learn vocal techniques, tell stories through up-tempo songs and games and create an interactive choir performance. Rec Center camps include a swim break.


Amazing Acts Circus Camp (6-12 yrs)

(6-12 yrs.) This Spirit Pros camp blends the excitement of circus arts with hands-on creativity. Campers will practice on a variety of circus equipment, create balloon animals and sculptures, and learn to juggle scarves, rings, balls, and clubs. From tightrope walking and stilts to balance boards, barrels, and basic acrobatics, campers will build confidence, coordination, and showmanship in a safe and supportive environment. Rec Center camps bring swimsuit/towel for afternoon swim break. Parent note: A signed participant release is due on the first day. Camp is not recommended for children with latex allergies. No camp July 3.


Anglers & Archers (8-12 yrs.)

(8-12 yrs.) Enjoy this combo camp of two popular outdoor activities- fishing and archery with Baroody. Learn to use a classic bow and arrow, atlatl and other primitive tools. Gain knowledge and experience in fishing using a variety of tackle, both on shore and by boat. No camp July 3.


Animal Ambassadors (8-12 yrs)

(8-12 yrs.) Go hiking to explore our native mammals, birds, fish, insects and reptiles in their habitats. Learn why animals are important to our ecosystem through resident animal interactions, crafts and games. As campers explore in the forest, pond, river and meadow they will learn how animal habitats are being threatened and what they can do to protect them.
