Adult Potomac Adventures Camp (Adults)

(Adults) Join our experienced instructors and immerse yourselves in the great outdoors with our all-adult adventure camp. Experience the Potomac River from every angle. Go rock climbing overlooking the river in Carderock MD (transportation not included), do a fish and float trip from Clark’s Branch, and take a guided hike down to Great Falls to learn the history and geography of the gorge and end the week learning primitive skills and enjoying a campfire cookout. Prior fishing/boating experience is not required; beginners welcome. No camp June 19.


Adult Women in the Woods Camp (Adults)

(Adults) Immerse yourselves into the wilderness with our all-adult adventure camp! Join a group of women to learn practical primitive skills and how protect the outdoors through leave no trace principles. Activities include rock climbing along the Potomac in Carderock MD (transportation not included), paddling, fire building, outdoor cooking, archery, setting up a campsite, and foraging. No camp June 19.

Experience history through as you churn your own butter, sample historic foods, gain traditional crafting skills and play historic games.

(7-11 yrs.) This camp focuses on a range of breakfast treats, from quick and simple to the more elaborate and exciting. Campers will master the art of cracking eggs, mixing, and baking, turning them into breakfast champions with Baroody instructors. They'll leave ready to start every day with a delicious, self-made breakfast feast.


Cooking: Baroody Savory & Sweets (5-12yrs)

(5-12 yrs.) Each Baroody camp day will feature a sweet treat that goes perfectly with dinner and one savory dish that’s sure to become a family favorite. Learn new baking skills like creaming, whisking and melting plus cooking skills such as stewing, stir-frying and sautéing.


Cooking: Chopped! (10-14yrs)

Create dishes for every meal of the day, then face a surprise twist with secret ingredients. (8-14 yrs.) Join the Kids Kitchen staff for an exciting day combining cooking classes, healthy lessons and games that focus on how to eat smart and play hard. Each day, the campers will eat the lunch they prepare.


Master Chef (10-14yrs)

(10-14 yrs.) Campers cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner while learning advanced techniques and boosting kitchen creativity. From animal tracking to shelter building, children learn survival skills through outdoor activities, games and more. Camp focuses on the culture and lives of the Powhatan. Some sites include tool making and a cookout on the last day.

(5-12 yrs.) Mix pottery with tasty treats in this Mudskippers camp. First, hand-build your very own mini serveware—perfect for holding cookies, cupcakes, and other goodies. Then, roll up your sleeves to bake, design, and decorate delicious sweets. Your pottery will be fired in our kiln so you’ll have real, functional artwork you can keep forever. At the end of camp, celebrate with a special art show. This is a hand-building camp—no pottery wheels are used. No camp July 3.


Restaurant Creation (6-10 yrs)

(6-10 yrs.) Campers create daily courses, explore global flavors, and design their own restaurant concept. Sew Sweet: Donut & Cookie Pillow Making (8-12y)

(8-12 yrs.) Boys and girls will learn basic hand and machine techniques, measuring, using patterns, fabric structure, maintenance and sewing machine operation. Design and decorate your favorite donut or cookie out of fleece to make a pillow. A supply fee of $35 is due on the first day for materials. No camp July 3.
