The Fairfax County Park Authority offers a variety of activities such as classes, camps and tours in a wide variety of categories including aquatics, fitness, nature, dance, outdoor recreation, performing arts, history and many more. Special events, trips/tours and specialty workshops are listed in Parktakes, the Park Authority’s quarterly guide, available through free subscription to county citizens. .

ABCs and 1-2-3s (2-3 yrs)

Learning can be fun when teaching children their letters and numbers through hands-on crafts. Kids learn how to associate a sound with each letter and number from the craft they make in class. Parent must attend class with the 2 to 3 year-old age group. Additional supply fee payable to instructor.


Abrakadoodle Mini Doodlers (3-6 yrs)

Ignite your child's imagination using real artists' materials, including watercolors, tempera paints, oil pastels, creative tools and more. Carefully designed lessons help children develop skills while enhancing creativity. A $30-$40 materials fee is due at first class (checks payable to Abrakadoodle).


Abrakadoodle Twoosy Doodlers (20-36 mos)

Little ones experiment with painting, gluing, sticking, printing and creating while developing fine-motor, language and self-help skills. This Abrakadoodle class, for toddlers and their parents, inspires creativity while emphasizing an I-can-do-it spirit! A $30-$40 materials fee is due at first class (checks payable to Abrakadoodle).


All Aboard, Trains Galore! (3-5 yrs)

(3-5 yrs) Join us for a journey where everything is about trains. This exciting adventure features arts and crafts, games, music, stories and of course, train time.


Baby Ballerinas (18-30 months)

This too-cute class for the youngest pink ballerinas stretches their minds and feet. Adult must participate with child.

Ballet & Jazz (4-5 yrs)

Introduction to basic ballet and jazz steps and movements.

Basketball I (4-6 yrs)

Children learn basketball skills and techniques including passing, shooting, dribbling and other fundamentals. Class includes scrimmages to reinforce teamwork.


Beginning Athletes in Team Sports 4-5

This high-energy class introduces kids to a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, and flag football, as well as an assortment of other activities. Kids have lots of fun learning new sports while emphasizing teamwork.


Blast Off for Babies (13-18 mos.)

Fun is guaranteed when you and your tiny tot blast off in our play environment. Children love the games, songs and fingerplays. A great way to introduce youngsters to interactive play. Lee District RECenter classes held in the unique soft play room. Adults must attend class. Socks required for everyone.

Join the international soccer coaches for a fun and enjoyable experience that introduces your soccer star to game fundamentals using imaginative games and activities. Parent participation is encouraged for the 2-to 3-year-old age group. Students should bring a size 3 soccer ball to class. Classes held at schools are indoors.
