3D Innovators Lab (7-12 yrs)

(7-12 yrs.) Using Tinkercad, campers will dive into 3D design and printing learning engineering, product design, and creative problem-solving along the way. They’ll build complex objects, tackle design challenges, and even preview creations in augmented reality before printing. Campers see their ideas come to life with tangible 3D prints in this Baroody camp. No experience needed.


A.I. Adventures - Intro to Machine Learning (8-11)

(8-11 yrs.) Virtual Camp. Explore the world of artificial intelligence to design fully interactive games and experiences using cutting-edge technology. Combine artificial intelligence with coding to create an unforgettable learning adventure. Construct machine learning models that use image and text recognition within block-based coding software to build a portfolio of projects. Projects will be available on Black Rocket’s password protected website.


Accotink Adventure Camp (9-13 yrs.)

(9-13 yrs.) Join us for the ultimate outdoor camp! Activities include fishing, hiking, kayaking, animal tracking, and animal identification. Bring lunch, snack and water bottle daily. Camps run rain or shine. Contact the park for details on extreme weather days. No camp July 3.


ACTion! Pop Star Spotlight (7-14yrs)

(7-14 yrs.) In this Moonlit Wings camp, kids take center stage to star in original scenes and sing and dance to popular radio hits by today’s pop stars and legendary icons. Campers also explore improvisation games, character creation and a talent show while building imagination, storytelling skills, and teamwork. All experience levels welcome. Sessions that meet for five days will conclude with a mini performance for family and friends on Friday. Rec Center camps also bring swimsuit/towel for swim break. (Prefer behind-the-scenes? Teens ages 14+ may register separately for our “ACTivate! Teens Behind-the-Scenes” tech track.). No camp July 3.


ACTivate! Teens Behind the Scenes (14-16yrs)

(14–16 yrs.) In this NEW Moonlit Wings leadership camp, teens build communication, teamwork, and leadership skills as Jr. Directors by assisting instructors and mentoring younger campers. Teens help lead acting activities, improv games, rehearsals, and performances while gaining hands-on experience assisting instructors and working with younger performers. This leadership program partners with Moonlit Wings youth camps. View the schedule to determine which camp you will work with. ACTify camps are more production-focused with a longer show, while ACTion! and Applause offer shorter performances, theatre games, and swim time at select locations. No camp July 3.


Adventures on the Farm (6-10 yrs)

(6-10 yrs.) In this Katydid camp, campers spend the morning on the farm with visits to animals, hikes, games and crafts. Campers then head indoors for the afternoon to learn about lives 100 years ago through toys, games, crafts, and pictures. Children must have completed kindergarten. All Sports Camp with Alpha Sports (7-11 yrs)

(7-11 yrs.) Learn the fundamentals of multiple sports including football, volleyball, soccer, baseball, track and lacrosse with Alpha Sports. Campers are grouped by age and enjoy participating in scrimmages and tournaments.


Animal Vets Farm Camp

(6-9yrs) Farm animals have many needs from food to medicine to just the right living spaces. Practice being a vet with STEM activities and daily hands-on access to animals. Games, crafts, and activities round out this camp.


Animals: Zoology Fun for Kids (4-7 yrs.)

(4-7 yrs.) Explore the woods, creeks and ponds as we look for all sorts of critters. Learn about the animal life science of frogs, toads, birds, mammals, snakes, turtles, fish and insects through hikes, projects and games.

Archery & Fencing: Battle Camp(8-14yr)

(8-14 yrs.) Split your time between archery, fencing and traditional camp games. Learn archery from talented instructors using USA Archery’s Explore Archery program. Experienced fencing coaches teach core foundational skills like advance, retreat, thrust and lunge as you learn to fence. Wrap up the week with a fencing and archery Robin Hood Team Tournament using electric fencing equipment. No camp July 3. A maximum of 5 weeks per camper is allowed at this location due to State Licensing restrictions.


Archery Camp at Bull Run (9-15 yrs.)

(9-15 yrs.) Develop archery skills shooting Olympic-style (recurve) bows in this indoor 3-day camp. Learn patience, focus and attention to detail through focused instruction. Other archery-related activities provide a broader introduction. Equipment is provided. Bring a snack and drink. No camp July 3.


Art that Pops Camp (5 1/2-12 yrs)

(5 1/2-12 yrs.) STEM and Art collide in the most POP-tastic ways with Abrakadoodle. Create anaglyph images, rocket lava lamps, animal sponges, neon light signs, pop-up cards and other hands-on art projects. No camp July 3.


B2R Glee Camp (7-15yrs)

(7-15 yrs.) Build your performance skills and learn how to sing as part of a larger group. Receive coaching from trained vocalists to learn, record and perform popular songs. Make the most of your singing voice while learning to care for your vocal cords, control volume and pitch and refine techniques like melody and harmony. A maximum of 5 weeks per camper is allowed at this location due to State Licensing restrictions. No camp June 19 or July 3.


B2R Music Production Camp (8-15yrs)

(8-15 yrs.) Campers learn behind the scenes of the music industry. Step into Bach to Rock’s recording studio, work with an audio engineer, record live bands and solo artists, work with industry-standard microphones, soundboards, mixing equipment, and state-of-the-art software to transform tracks into chart-topping hits! No experience required. A maximum of 5 weeks per camper is allowed at this location due to State Licensing restrictions.


B2R Rock Band Camp (7-15 yrs)

(7-15 yrs.) Designed for kids of all levels. No music experience is necessary. Kids are taught to play up to three songs on an instrument such as drum, guitar, bass, piano and/or sing. Each weekly session culminates in a performance and the recording of a CD. Bach to Rock program. A maximum of 5 weeks per camper is allowed at this location due to State Licensing restrictions. No camp June 19 or July 3.


Ballet Dance Camp (6-12yrs)

(6-12 yrs.) Envision ballet dance camp is for campers who would like to learn or continue learning ballet. Campers will do arts and crafts, play games, meet new friends, and learn ballet. At the end of the week campers will put on a dance performance. Bring a swimsuit and towel daily for an afternoon swim break. No camp July 3.


Baroody Kiddie Sports Camp (3-5 yrs.)

(3-5 yrs.) Young campers are introduced to sports skills through games that enhance running, throwing, catching and teamwork in this Baroody camp. Other activities are included plus time for a lunch break. Pack a water bottle and bag lunch. Campers must be potty-trained and 3 years old by the first day of camp.


Baroody STEM Adventures (8-11yrs)

(8-11yrs.)Join Baroody camps to delve into various aspects of STEM, exploring topics such as robotics, chemistry, coding, and game design. Our hands-on approach includes interactive experiments such as creating potions and crafting slime, as well as problem-solving activities like developing robotic contraptions.


Baseball Beginners Camp (5-6y)

(5-6 yrs.) US9 offers a beginner’s half-day camp designed to teach the basics. Campers are introduced to the basics of throwing, catching, fielding, hitting and baserunning. Camp consists of attention-grabbing, short sessions of skill related activities using batting drills, safety balls, bean bags and targets. No camp June 19 or July 3.


Baseball Camp with US9 (7-12 yrs)

(7-12 yrs.) US9 Baseball offers an instructional camp designed to teach both fundamentals and advanced skills. In addition to daily scrimmage games and trivia contests, all campers receive instruction on pitching, hitting, baserunning, fielding, game situations, rules and sportsmanship. Rec Center camps include afternoon swim break, if available. No camp June 19 and July 3.


Basketball & Sports Camp (6-12 yrs)

(6-12 yrs.) Join One on One Basketball where the focus is basketball and other team sports each day. Campers play soccer, kickball, hand ball and capture the flag. Camp will be held outdoors as much as possible. Rec Center camp locations include an afternoon swim break. No camp June 19.


Brazilian Soccer World Cup Camp (7-14yrs)

(7-14 yrs.) Experience the excitement of the World Cup right in your own community. Campers will represent different countries, build skills, and compete in mini-tournaments led by professional Brazilian coaches from the five-time World Cup champions. They’ll grow in confidence, make friends, and develop on and off the field through our #BeyondSoccer approach. No camp June 19 and July 3.


Build Your Own Circuit & Python/Scratch Coding

(6-12 yrs.) Explore electricity and electronics, with hands-on activities and experiments, introducing campers to the field of engineering with StemTree. Campers will then code in either Python or Scratch based on their grade levels. Previous participants will continue learning new STEM concepts.


Camp Movin' N Groovin' (5-8 yrs.)

(5-8 yrs.) Get ready to move with KinderJam! Campers will enjoy inclusive games, creative crafts and outdoor play. Rec Center locations may have an afternoon swim break; please bring a swimsuit and towel.


Chess Camp (6-13yrs)

(6-13 yrs.) This Silver Knights camp has taught the great strategy game to more than 100,000 children including national champions. This camp is for advanced players to sharpen their skills or beginners who want to learn the game. Campers will learn the rules, openings, tactics, strategy, endgames, while playing games and taking outdoor breaks. Bring a lunch, snack, and drink. Campers will receive a t-shirt and chess set on Friday. No camp June 19 and July 3.


Cooking & Crafts Camp (5-8yrs)

Experience history through as you churn your own butter, sample historic foods, gain traditional crafting skills and play historic games.


Crazy Chemworks (6-10yrs)

(6-10 yrs.) This action-packed Mad Science summer camp is bubbling over with classic experiments and crazy concoctions. Get to know lab basics, then jump into the incredible world of chemistry. Perform spectacular hands-on activities using real science equipment and tools. Witness stunning demonstrations involving slime, dry ice, and more. Learn and apply concepts and techniques just like a real chemist! No camp July 3.


Creeks & Critters (6-10yrs)

(6-10 yrs.) From tadpoles to meadow voles, water is needed for all living things. Join us for this mostly outdoor camp as we explore many features of the watershed and learn about animals that depend on it. Be prepared to get wet, do cool experiments and learn how humans affect the quality of water in our rivers and streams.


Dance Camp (7-11yrs)

(7-11 yrs.) During this Baroody dance camp, campers will learn choreography and movement to some of the most popular songs out today. Arts and crafts will also be incorporated as campers decorate props and shirts. After a week of hard work, campers will show off their new dance moves on the final day of camp.


Dinosaur Days Camp (4-7 yrs)

Campers will become junior paleontologists as naturalists lead discovery of the latest in dinosaur knowledge through crafts, games and fossils.


Drone Code: Programming with Python 3 (8-12yrs)

(8-12 yrs.) Campers will explore the basics of flight mechanics and aerodynamics while learning how drones take to the skies with iCODE. They’ll use beginner-friendly Python coding to program flight patterns, then put their skills to the test by navigating obstacle courses. Along the way, campers will build critical thinking and quick decision-making skills.


Eco-Engineers Camp (6-11 yrs.)

(6-11 yrs.) Join our park naturalists as we search for inspiration from nature’s engineers-honeybees, beavers, birds and plants. Test out different materials to create things that blend in, shelter, float or fly. Explore the great outdoors using nature as inspiration to create your own inventions.


Fencing Camp with Fairfax Fencers (7-15 yrs.)

(7-15 yrs.) In this action-packed camp, learning skills such as etiquette and fencing safety from all three Olympics fencing disciplines (foil, epee and saber). Show off your skills at the end-of-the-week camp tournament. Located in Chantilly. Contact Fairfax Fencers about before and after care. No camp June 19 and July 3.


Foundational Soccer Skills Camp (6-12yrs)

(6-12 yrs.) Challenger Sports team of international and US-based staff helps improve your camper's technical foundational skills while providing a unique cultural experience. Rooted in British training methodology, this curriculum and coaching foundation meets engaging delivery for an all-around positive experience. Soccer ball and Jersey Included. Sign up to host a coach and receive a free week on camp. Rec Center campers bring swimsuit/towel for afternoon swim break. No camp June 19 and July 3.


Foundations of Pottery (5-12 yrs.)

(5-12 yrs.) Join Mudskippers to learn the foundations of hand-built pottery with pinch pots, coil pots and slabs using stoneware clay and paint some ready-made bisqueware. Keep your imagination busy with modeling clay creations, air hardening creations and drawing. Camper’s pottery will be fired in our kiln. This is a hand-building camp, no potters wheels are used. No camp July 3.


Game Builder: Creating with Construct 3 (8-12 yrs)

(8-12 yrs.) In this introductory iCODE camp, campers will go behind the scenes, learning the art and science of game development. With hands-on projects, campers will be exposed to digital tools for game creation such as Construct 3. Each game created throughout the week will start small and grow along with skills learned.


Gamer Adventures (6-12 yrs.)

(6-12 yrs.) Learn the fundamentals of programming, art and level design to create a video game from the ground up. Using a game engine with integrated art software and an easy-to-use events system, Stem exCEL have the freedom to create a product that is truly their own. Learn about the history of video games by playing classic ones to see the advancement of technology. Campers leave with a digital copy of their work. No camp July 3.


Gymnastics Camp (5 1/2-12 yrs.)

(5 ½-12 yrs.) Campers will flip head over heels in this Metro Movement gymnastics camp. Build skills and learn to master the balance beam, bars, floor and vault. Rec Center camps include an afternoon swim break. A signed participation release is due on the first day. No camp July 3.
