Keepers of the Earth Camp (6-9yrs)

(6-9 yrs.) Through the lens of Native American values and culture learn about environmental stewardship and survival skills at Riverbend Park. Delve into the foundations of Earth Science through investigation, exploration, and hands-on experiments. Campers will expand their creativity, self-reliance, and friendships through games, storytelling, arts & crafts, archery and nature hikes. Bring a lunch, snack, and water bottle. Native American Survival Skills Camp (5-9 yrs.)

(5-9 yrs.) Discover what daily life was like for the Eastern Woodland American Indians. From animal tracking to shelter building, children learn survival skills through outdoor activities, games and more. Camp focuses on the culture and lives of the Powhatan. Some sites include tool making and a cookout on the last day. Once registered, download camp forms from website.
