(All Ages) Celebrate America’s 250th anniversary at Lake Fairfax Park during the Lake Fairfax 250th Independence Day Celebration. Experience the Fairfax County Park Authority’s first-ever drone light show as hundreds of synchronized drones light up the night sky with patriotic images, music and motion in a quieter, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fireworks. Make it a full day with live music, food trucks, refreshing beverages and family-friendly entertainment, and enjoy park amenities including trails, boating, picnicking and The Water Mine (separate admission applies). The light show is expected to begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. Entry begins at noon, and guests are encouraged to arrive by 8 p.m. Parking fee is $20 per vehicle online through 11:59 p.m. on June 26 or $25 per vehicle at the gate. Pedestrians and cyclists enter free. In the event of severe weather, the celebration will move to Sunday, June 28. This event is brought to you by the Fairfax County 250th Commission and the Fairfax County Park Foundation.
