(3-5 yrs.) Prerequisite: Child must leave parent willingly, be comfortable in the water, follow directions and function well in a group. When possible, children are grouped by ability. Class emphasizes helping children gain basic aquatic skills including entering and exiting the water safely, blowing bubbles with mouth and nose submerged, submerging under water. With assistance students learn to float and glide on front and back, rolling from front to back and back to front, swimming using arms and legs on front and back at least two body lengths. For safety reasons, flotation devices may be used. Flotation devices are used for all Pee Wee 1 classes at Audrey Moore and Franconia Rec Centers.

(3-5 yrs.) Prerequisites: Pee Wee Paddler 1 or equivalent skill proficiency. Class emphasizes helping children increase independence in their skill performance while continuing to increase comfort in the water. Skills include bobbing, floating and gliding on front and back with and without assistance, swimming on front and back at least three body lengths with and without assistance. Flotation devices may be used.

(13-Adult) Whether you're a curious beginner or an enthusiast eager to explore the latest technology, this hands-on course will take you on a captivating journey. Expert instructors will guide you through understanding the basics of 3D printing to creating and printing your own designs. Unleash your creativity and be amazed at the endless possibilities of this innovative and transformative technology. No prior experience required. A laptop or tablet with mouse and an email address are required. A Fairfax County library card number is recommended. There will be a $15 materials fee.

(6-12 yrs.) Designed especially for young curious minds, this course introduces children and their parent to 3D printing. Through fun and age-appropriate activities, students the basics of 3D design and witness their creations come to life as tangible objects. From custom toys to personalized backpack tags, this class is an exciting adventure of creativity and technology. No prior experience needed. A laptop or tablet, Fairfax County library card and an email address are required. There will be a $15 materials fee.

(9-Adult) For those who have completed the basic 3D printing class. Explore new TinkerCAD tools and learn how to slice your previous designs into printable files. Covers starting prints, troubleshooting, and printer maintenance. Requires a laptop or tablet with mouse and an email address. $15 materials/printing fee.

(13-Adult) If you're in it to finish, try this beginner-friendly team. You start out mostly walking and end up running the whole 3.1-mile race. ~

(7-14 yrs.) In this Moonlit Wings class, students jump into original scenes and kid-friendly choreography inspired by the Netflix animated film KPop Demon Hunters and hit songs from groups like KATSEYE and BTS. Students also enjoy improv games, character creation and a fun talent show., which are designed to boost imagination, confidence and teamwork through theatre. Open to all experience levels. Parents are invited to a mini performance during the final class.

(7-14 yrs.) In this camp by Moonlit Wings, campers will dive into the art of acting and improvisation to perform skits inspired by their favorite stories and shows. Moonlit Wings' award-winning programs are packed with opportunities for new activities every session. Bring swimsuit/towel for swim break.

Campers explore character creation, improv and a talent show while sharpening acting and singing skills and bringing spellbinding stories to life. All experience levels welcome. Bring swimsuit/towel for afternoon swim break.

(14–16 yrs.) In this NEW Moonlit Wings leadership camp, teens build communication, teamwork, and leadership skills as Jr. Directors by assisting instructors and mentoring younger campers. Teens help lead acting activities, improv games, rehearsals, and performances while gaining hands-on experience assisting instructors and working with younger performers. This leadership program partners with Moonlit Wings youth camps. View the schedule to determine which camp you will work with. ACTify camps are more production-focused with a longer show, while ACTion! and Applause offer shorter performances, theatre games, and swim time at select locations. No camp July 3.

(8-Adult) Prerequisite: Students must be able to swim a minimum of 15 yards independently. This class is designed to prepare students with disabilities for more advanced competitive swimming and focuses on the basic steps and progressions of the four competitive strokes: front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke and butterfly.

(13-Adult) Designed for participants with mild intellectual disabilities who can participate in a class with a 4:1 ratio. Learn safe and proper sports skills while enjoying the benefits of fitness conditioning and teamwork through a variety of activities such as beach ball volleyball, sports and games and outdoor activities.
