Pee Wee Paddler 1 (3-5 yrs.)

(3-5 yrs.) Prerequisite: Child must leave parent willingly, be comfortable in the water, follow directions and function well in a group. When possible, children are grouped by ability. Class emphasizes helping children gain basic aquatic skills including entering and exiting the water safely, blowing bubbles with mouth and nose submerged, submerging under water. With assistance students learn to float and glide on front and back, rolling from front to back and back to front, swimming using arms and legs on front and back at least two body lengths. For safety reasons, flotation devices may be used. Flotation devices are used for all Pee Wee 1 classes at Audrey Moore and Franconia Rec Centers.


Pee Wee Paddler 2 (3-5 yrs.)

(3-5 yrs.) Prerequisites: Pee Wee Paddler 1 or equivalent skill proficiency. Class emphasizes helping children increase independence in their skill performance while continuing to increase comfort in the water. Skills include bobbing, floating and gliding on front and back with and without assistance, swimming on front and back at least three body lengths with and without assistance. Flotation devices may be used.


3D Innovators Lab (7-12 yrs)

(7-12 yrs.) Using Tinkercad, Baroody campers will dive into 3D design and printing, learning engineering, product design, and creative problem-solving. They’ll build complex objects, tackle design challenges, and preview creations in augmented reality before printing.


Abrakadoodle Mini Doodlers (3-6 yrs) by Vendor

(3-6 yrs) Ignite your child's imagination using real artists' materials, including watercolors, tempera paints, oil pastels, creative tools and more. Carefully designed lessons help children develop skills while enhancing creativity. A $30-$40 materials fee is due at first class (checks payable to Abrakadoodle).


Act Up! Cinderella by Vendor (7-14 yrs.)

(7-14 yrs.) In this Moonlit Wings, class young performers bring the story of Cinderella to life through original scenes, music and character exploration. Each week features fresh songs, imaginative games, and theatrical moments that spark creativity and stage magic. Sharpen your acting and singing skills while making new friends along the way. Parents are invited to a mini-performance during the final class.


Act Up! Pop Star Academy (7-14 yrs.) by Vendor

(7-14 yrs.) This Moonlit Wings program is back with new music! Kids sing and dance to favorite pop hits by stars like Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and Jonas Brothers, and take center stage in original scenes and skits. Students sharpen vocals, movement, stage presence and teamwork through theatre. Parents are invited to a mini-performance during the final class.


ACTion! Broadway Camp (7-14 yrs)

(7-14 yrs.) In this Moonlit Wings camp, young performers shine as they sing, dance, and act along to favorite show tunes and original scenes inspired by Broadway’s biggest hits. Campers explore character creation, theatre games and a talent show while building confidence, creativity, and stage presence. All experience levels welcome. Sessions that meet for five days will conclude with a mini performance for family and friends on Friday. Rec Center camps bring swimsuit/towel for afternoon swim break. (Prefer behind-the-scenes? ACTivate! Teens Behind the Scenes (14-16yrs)

(14-16 yrs.) In this NEW Moonlit Wings camp, teens join the tech track as Jr. Directors, helping lead acting activities, improv games, staging and choreography. Teens assist with basic tech like sets, costumes, lighting, and sound—building leadership and production skills. These programs are partnered with Moonlit Wings camps. View the schedule to determine which camp you will work with. ACTify camps are more production-focused with a longer show, while ACTion and Applause offer shorter performances, theatre games, and swim time at select locations. No camp July 3.


Adapted Soccer by Vendor (8-12 yrs)

(8-12 yrs) This JST Athletics class for individuals with mild intellectual disabilities provides basic instruction geared for beginning players. Emphasis is on development of soccer skills including kicking, dribbling and goal-keeping. Bring shin guards and a soccer ball. Classes held at schools are indoors using soft soccer balls and no not require cleats.


Adapted Swimming 1 (6-12 yrs.)

(6-12 yrs.) This is a learn-to-swim class designed for students with disabilities. Students engage in activities to overcome fear and gain basic swimming and water safety skills. Skills include entering and exiting the water safely, blowing bubbles, floating and the introduction of arm and leg action with assistance. Parent/caregiver participation may be required.


Adapted Swimming 2 (6-12 yrs.)

(6-12 yrs.) Prerequisite: Swimming 1 or equivalent skill proficiency. This is a learn-to-swim class designed for students with disabilities. Students should be comfortable entering the water on their own, blowing bubbles, and using their arms and legs to swim with assistance. Skills include floating on both front and back, gliding and swimming without assistance. Parent/caregiver participation may be required.


Adapted Swimming 3 (6-12 yrs.)

(6-12 yrs.) Prerequisite: Swimming 2 or equivalent skill proficiency. This is a learn-to-swim class designed for students with disabilities. Students should be able to swim at least two body lengths without assistance. Skills include treading water, retrieving objects and swimming on both front and back without assistance. Parent/caregiver participation may be required.


Adapted Swimming-Preschoolers (3-5 yrs)

Through play and individual attention, preschoolers and their parents work on adjusting to a new environment. Focus is on entry and exit skills, water safety, blowing bubbles and arm and leg propulsion on the front and back. Parent participation is required.
