Pee Wee Paddler 1 (3-5 yrs.)

(3-5 yrs.) Prerequisite: Child must leave parent willingly, be comfortable in the water, follow directions and function well in a group. When possible, children are grouped by ability. Class emphasizes helping children gain basic aquatic skills including entering and exiting the water safely, blowing bubbles with mouth and nose submerged, submerging under water. With assistance students learn to float and glide on front and back, rolling from front to back and back to front, swimming using arms and legs on front and back at least two body lengths. For safety reasons, flotation devices may be used. Flotation devices are used for all Pee Wee 1 classes at Audrey Moore and Franconia Rec Centers.


Pee Wee Paddler 2 (3-5 yrs.)

(3-5 yrs.) Prerequisites: Pee Wee Paddler 1 or equivalent skill proficiency. Class emphasizes helping children increase independence in their skill performance while continuing to increase comfort in the water. Skills include bobbing, floating and gliding on front and back with and without assistance, swimming on front and back at least three body lengths with and without assistance. Flotation devices may be used.


3D Creations Art Camp (5 1/2-12 yrs)

(5 ½ - 12 yrs.) Join Abrakadoodle to design wind sculptures, craft squishy paper toys and sculpt colorful hearts. Explore the works of world-renowned artists like Dale Chihuly, Yinka Shonibare and Maurizio Cattelan. This camp is perfect for those who enjoy imagining big and creating boldly. No camp June 19 and July 3.


3D Printing Basics (13-Adult)

(13-Adult) Whether you're a curious beginner or an enthusiast eager to explore the latest technology, this hands-on course will take you on a captivating journey. Expert instructors will guide you through understanding the basics of 3D printing to creating and printing your own designs. Unleash your creativity and be amazed at the endless possibilities of this innovative and transformative technology. No prior experience required. A laptop or tablet with mouse and an email address are required. A Fairfax County library card number is recommended. There will be a $15 materials fee.


3D Printing Basics with Parent (6-12 yrs.)

(6-12 yrs.) Designed especially for young curious minds, this course introduces children and their parent to 3D printing. Through fun and age-appropriate activities, students the basics of 3D design and witness their creations come to life as tangible objects. From custom toys to personalized backpack tags, this class is an exciting adventure of creativity and technology. No prior experience needed. A laptop or tablet, Fairfax County library card and an email address are required. There will be a $15 materials fee.


Academy of Magic & Balloon Sculptures (6-12y)

(6-12 yrs) Spirit Pros unlocks the secrets of magic as campers learn sleight of hand, rope restorations, and even levitation tricks. They’ll twist balloons into animals, swords, and creative shapes to share with friends. The week wraps up with a magic showcase video, where every camper gets to amaze their family with what they’ve learned. Parent note: Camp is not recommended for children with latex allergies. No camp June 19 or July 3.


ACTion! Acting Adventures (7-14yrs)

(7-14 yrs.) In this Moonlit Wings Camp, campers take the spotlight with original scenes, improv games, and character-building activities inspired by favorite films and plays. Campers explore short skits, musical moments while sharpening creativity, collaboration, and on-your-feet thinking. All experience levels welcome. Bring swimsuit/towel for afternoon swim break.


ACTion! Broadway Camp (7-14 yrs)-fall

(7-14 yrs.) In this Moonlit Wings camp, young performers shine as they sing, dance, and act along to favorite show tunes and original scenes inspired by Broadway’s biggest hits. Campers explore character creation, theatre games, a talent show while building confidence, creativity, and stage presence. All experience levels welcome. Bring swimsuit/towel for afternoon swim break.


ACTion! Pop Star Spotlight (7-14yrs)

(7-14 yrs.) In this Moonlit Wings camp, kids take center stage to star in original scenes and sing and dance to popular radio hits by today’s pop stars and legendary icons. Campers also explore improvisation games, character creation and a talent show while building imagination, storytelling skills, and teamwork. All experience levels welcome. Sessions that meet for five days will conclude with a mini performance for family and friends on Friday. Rec Center camps also bring swimsuit/towel for swim break. (Prefer behind-the-scenes? ACTivate! Teens Behind the Scenes (14-16yrs)

(14-16 yrs.) In this NEW Moonlit Wings camp, teens join the tech track as Jr. Directors, helping lead acting activities, improv games, staging and choreography. Teens assist with basic tech like sets, costumes, lighting, and sound—building leadership and production skills. These programs are partnered with Moonlit Wings camps. View the schedule to determine which camp you will work with. ACTify camps are more production-focused with a longer show, while ACTion and Applause offer shorter performances, theatre games, and swim time at select locations. No camp July 3.


Adapted Intro to Basic Strokes (8-Adult)

(8-Adult) Prerequisite: Students must be able to swim a minimum of 15 yards independently. This class is designed to prepare students with disabilities for more advanced competitive swimming and focuses on the basic steps and progressions of the four competitive strokes: front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke and butterfly.


Adventures in Musical Theater (5-8yrs)

(5-8 yrs.) Join KinderJam as we perform an original musical piece! Campers will build confidence and public speaking skills while rehearsing a scripted performance to be showcased at the end of the week. Bring two snacks, lunch, water. Rec Center camps may include an afternoon swim break. No camp July 3.


All Girls Basketball Camp (7-14 yrs)

(7-14 yrs.) One on One has been running camps for over 25 years, and this special camp is exclusively for girls. Campers of all skill levels will participate in drills and contests before daily game play. The week will conclude with Championship Friday. Camp includes an afternoon swim break. No camp July 3.


Allegro Song & Voice Camp (6-12 yrs)

(6-12 yrs.) In this high energy Rich Sandler song and voice camp, campers learn vocal techniques, tell stories through up-tempo songs and games and create an interactive choir performance. Rec Center camps include a swim break.


Amazing Acts Circus Camp (6-12 yrs)

(6-12 yrs.) This Spirit Pros camp blends the excitement of circus arts with hands-on creativity. Campers will practice on a variety of circus equipment, create balloon animals and sculptures, and learn to juggle scarves, rings, balls, and clubs. From tightrope walking and stilts to balance boards, barrels, and basic acrobatics, campers will build confidence, coordination, and showmanship in a safe and supportive environment. Rec Center camps bring swimsuit/towel for afternoon swim break. Parent note: A signed participant release is due on the first day. Camp is not recommended for children with latex allergies. No camp July 3.


Applause! Despicable You (7-14yr)

(7-14 yrs.) In this Moonlit Wings two-week camp, kids star in an original musical parody inspired by the world of the Minions, featuring mischievous characters, silly twists, and a new heartwarming story. Explore improvisation games, character creation and a talent show while developing imagination, storytelling skills, and teamwork. All levels welcome. Applause! Movie Musicals Mania (7-14yrs)

(7-14 yrs.) In this Moonlit Wings two-week camp, kids bring Hollywood favorites from the screen to the stage. Perform in original scenes and songs inspired by musical hits like Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, Encanto and more. Explore improvisation games, character creation and a talent show while developing imagination, storytelling skills, and teamwork. All levels welcome. Art of Warm and Cool Colors (5 1/2-12 yrs.)

(5 1/2-12 yrs.) Paint with Abrakadoodle while you discover the magic of the color wheel! Explore color theory while learning about how well-known artists, Elizabeth Estivalet and Henry Rousseau.


Art that Pops Camp (5 12-12 yrs)

(5 1/2-12 yrs.) STEM and Art collide in the most POP-tastic ways with Abrakadoodle. Create anaglyph images, rocket lava lamps, animal sponges, neon light signs, pop-up cards and other hands-on art projects. No camp July 3.


Baby & Me Swim (6 mos.-18 mos.)

(6 mos.-18 mos.) Register your baby for this class designed for babies and their parent(s), or other favorite adult who want to learn water adjustment and aquatic skills together. Learn how to enter and exit the water in a safe manner, feel comfortable in the water and explore submerging to the mouth, nose and eyes. Explore buoyancy on front and back, change body position and learn safety information. Two adults may participate with each child. Babies must wear tight-fitting swim diaper and plastic pants under bathing suit.


Baseball Beginners Camp (5-6yrs)

(5-6 yrs.) This US9 camp will introduce skills such as throwing, catching, fielding, hitting and baserunning. Camp consists of attention-grabbing, short sessions of skill-related activities using batting drills, safety balls, bean bags and targets.
