Inspired by popular wizards and witches from Harry Potter to The Wizard of Oz, young performers experience a theatrical journey in this Moonlit Wings class. Explore original scenes, songs and games that bring magic to life on stage. Sharpen your acting and singing skills while making new friends along the way. (6-10 yrs.) Discover the farm with visits to the animals, hikes, games, and crafts. Find out about lives 100 years ago through with toys, crafts, games, music, and pictures. (14-Adult) Prerequisite: Completion of Fairfax County Dog Obedience 1 or instructor permission. Trick training allows an owner and dog to bond in a creative, fun way and helps improve a dog’s focus, confidence, and impulse control while building on the basic cues learned in Dog Obedience 1. Students will have the opportunity to take the AKC Novice and/or Advanced Trick Dog tests and earn an AKC title. Canine Good Citizen behaviors will also be practiced in class. Dogs must be at least 8 months old and show no signs of aggression.

(3.5.-6 yrs.) This Katydid Kids camp, based at the Old Floris Schoolhouse, includes daily farm visits. Learn facts and stories about the animals through indoor and outdoor games, songs and puppetry. (8-10 yrs.) Campers will learn about tacking, grooming, general horse care and barn chores and enjoy daily 30-minute riding lessons. Other horse-related activities include arts and crafts, equine speakers and breed demos. Bring a lunch, snack and drink. Wear proper shoes/boots, comfortable clothes, riding breeches or long, tight stretchy pants. Spirit Equestrian provides campers with a helmet, but if you choose to bring your own helmet, it must be ASTM/SEI certified riding helmet. No camp June 19. (7-14 yrs.) Young performers step into Moonlit Wings' Drama Club! Dive into new lessons every season with fresh scripts of comedy, drama and hilarious improv games. Sharpen speech, stage presence, and teamwork through theatre. Parents are invited to a mini performance during the final class.

(4-7 yrs.) Join us for a cozy tea party on the farm. Bring your favorite stuffed animal, help us decorate for the party and read a story. We will enjoy drinks and cookies in a special environmentally friendly tea set and meet one of our animals.

(7-14 yrs.) In this NEW Moonlit Wings two-week camp, kids act in our modern twist on 'The Wizard of Oz' and journey to the Emerald City with Dorothy and her familiar friends. Explore improvisation games, character creation, a talent show, and more to develop imagination, storytelling skills, and teamwork. All levels welcome. (13-Adult) This class introduces you to traditional American ballroom dance basics. Learn proper dance position and how to lead and follow. Dances include foxtrot, waltz, rumba and cha-cha. Each student must register. ~

From mastering the intricacies of fishing equipment to understanding fish behavior and responsible angling practices, campers will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to become self-reliant anglers. The camp's focus is to foster a deep appreciation for the outdoors while equipping campers with the tools to enjoy fishing as a lifelong pursuit. Throughout the week, campers will have the opportunity to fish in a variety of scenic locations, including freshwater ponds, rivers, lakes, and even the Chesapeake Bay. From gears and pulleys to levers and inclined planes, you'll uncover the secrets behind the LEGO® creations you love and unleash your inner engineer. (7-12 yrs.) In this exciting Snapology camp, design, build, and program your very own LEGO creations that come to life. Unlock the secrets of sensors, motors, and coding as you transform simple bricks into intelligent, programmable robots. Problem-solve, experiment, and unleash your inner techno-wizard, as you take the first steps towards mastering the world of robotics. (7-12 yrs.) Learn to make, map out, market, manage and monetize a real product with Camprichment. Every girl boss makes her own bath or jewelry products, builds a business plan, brainstorms and collaborates, then takes everything home in a reusable tote after an empowering week. (2-Adult) Enjoy an intimate after hours experience at the farm as day turns to night. Register for a wagon ride time and enjoy the bonfire after your ride. Staff will provide marshmallows for roasting but feel free to bring along any other treat for yourselves.

Add some cheer to your day with the Park Authority's carousels. Choose between classic charm and modern fun, featuring both moving and stationary seating. Children under 42 inches tall require a ticket, and one accompanying parent may stand for free. A second adult, or parents of children 42 inches or taller, will need tickets. All riders under age 18 must purchase tickets. Adults may stand but are not permitted to ride the carousel horses. Weight limit: 170 pounds.
