(4-Adult) Learn about Green Spring’s past as an apple orchard and farm. Go for a walk around the gardens on a scavenger hunt before heading to the historic house for apple-themed tea. Taste different local apple varieties and other apple flavored treats. All participants, including accompanying adults, must register and pay for the program.
(6-Adult) Learn about the wonderful world of evergreen trees and plants that really stand out this time of year. Enjoy a seasonal walk through the gardens and make an evergreen craft to decorate your home. All attendees, including parents, must be registered for the program.
(4-Adult) Follow your food’s journey from garden to table. Learn how seeds develop into fruits, vegetables and herbs. Then see how they’re harvested and brought to the kitchen. Make a colorful food map that traces the route from the garden to your plates.
