The Fairfax County Park Authority offers a variety of activities such as classes, camps and tours in a wide variety of categories including aquatics, fitness, nature, dance, outdoor recreation, performing arts, history and many more. Special events, trips/tours and specialty workshops are listed in Parktakes, the Park Authority’s quarterly guide, available through free subscription to county citizens. .

Chopped! (5-12 yrs.)

Tiny Chefs brings food challenges to camp. Our version has the added twist of focusing on different cuisines every day. Campers are given a basket with 3 or 4 ingredients, which reflect different cuisines: French, Italian, Mexican, Asian and American. Using those ingredients and themes, the challenge will be to make mouthwatering specialties while exploring new ingredients, tastes and combinations. No camp July 4-5. Cooking Around the World (5-12 yrs.)

It is said that if you want to learn about a country you should start with the food. Join Tiny Chefs in creating cuisines from around the world. Enjoy making fabulous flavors of Italian, Indian, Vietnamese, Mexican and French foods while learning cooking techniques and ingredients that make them unique. Cupcake Wars (5-12 yrs.)

Curious about how the pros make those cupcakes so precious and ornate? Enjoy competition and challenges? Join Tiny Chefs for some yummy fun learning cupcake basics like measuring, mixing, baking and frosting. Finish the week with two days of baking battle!
