(6-12 yrs.) Learn chess with Silver Knights (formerly Magnus Chess Academy)! They’ve taught 100,000 children to play, including state and national champions, but most students are beginners looking to learn a new skill. Class time is divided between lessons and practice games. Lessons range from the basic rules to advanced tournament strategies. Students will have the opportunity to play in tournaments. All chess supplies provided. All skill levels are welcome.

This camp is for advanced players to sharpen their skills or beginners who want to learn the game. Campers will learn the rules, openings, tactics, strategy, endgames, while playing games and taking outdoor breaks. Bring a lunch, snack, and drink. Campers will receive a t-shirt and chess set on Friday. No camp June 19 and July 3.

There’s something for every age, from sweet treats to outdoor exploration including classic carousel magic! Please come in family friendly costumes for our costume parade and monster mash dance party at the amphitheater. Purchase this event package online or day of for $15/per person. Package includes a seasonal drink, s’mores kit, popcorn, carousel ride and scavenger hunt. A la carte pricing will be available on the day of the event. In case of inclement weather, the rain date will be Sunday, October 18.
