The Fairfax County Park Authority offers a variety of activities such as classes, camps and tours in a wide variety of categories including aquatics, fitness, nature, dance, outdoor recreation, performing arts, history and many more. Special events, trips/tours and specialty workshops are listed in Parktakes, the Park Authority’s quarterly guide, available through free subscription to county citizens. .

Amateur FootGolf Tournament Ladies (Adults)

(Ladies-Adults) Are you ready to put your FootGolf skills to the test? Saturday, July 13 at 1:30 pm, Pinecrest will hold its first Amateur FootGolf Tournament as part of the Virginia Commonwealth Games. This fun and friendly competition welcomes seasoned (non-tour) players as well as beginners with categories for Juniors (ages 12-17), Women (ages 18+) Men (ages 18-45) & Senior Men (ages 46+)*. Rules will be self-enforced with guidance from tour players. If you can kick a ball you can compete in this FootGolf fiesta! All participants will also qualify for the State Games FootGolf Amateur competition to be held in Lynchburg, VA this year. Cost is $25 per player and includes 18 holes of FootGolf, goody bags and medals for the top 3 players in each category. *turning 46+ this year.


Ladies Get Golf Ready I (13-Adult)

This ladies-only class is taught by a golf teaching professional and introduces game fundamentals to new golfers. Grip, stance, set up and ball position are taught for putting, chipping and irons along with hitting tee shots with hybrids and woods. A basic knowledge of golf equipment is included. Range balls are included in the class fee and loaner clubs are available. Final class is held on the golf course. ~


Ladies Get Golf Ready II (13-Adult

Prerequisite: Ladies Get Golf Ready I. This ladies-only class is taught by a golf teaching professional and covers advanced topics. Aim and alignment are introduced to putting, chipping and iron shots. Hybrids and woods are hit without a tee. The final class is held on the golf course. Range balls are included in the class fee and loaner clubs are available.
