The Fairfax County Park Authority offers a variety of activities such as classes, camps and tours in a wide variety of categories including aquatics, fitness, nature, dance, outdoor recreation, performing arts, history and many more. Special events, trips/tours and specialty workshops are listed in Parktakes, the Park Authority’s quarterly guide, available through free subscription to county citizens. .

Golf-Ladies Long Game (13-Adult)

Course focuses on the clubs used in the long game such as irons, hybrids, fairway woods and drivers. Range balls are in the class fee and loaner clubs are available.


Kicks for Fun FootGolf Tournament Ladies (Adults)

(Adults) This fun, family-friendly tournament welcomes experienced players as well as beginners. If you can kick a ball you can compete in this FootGolf fiesta! The categories for this tournament include Juniors ages 12 -17, Women ages 18 and up, Men ages 18-45 and Senior Men ages 46 and up. FootGolf is played on a traditional golf course and involves the kicking of a soccer ball down the fairway of the course, with the intention, similar to golf, of reaching the hole in as few “strokes” (kicks) as possible. In FootGolf, the hole is increased to 21” in diameter in order to accommodate a regulation soccer ball. All rules will be self-enforced with help from experienced tour players. The cost for this tournament is $25 per player and includes 18 holes of FootGolf, goody bags and medals.


Ladies Get Golf Ready I (13-Adult)

This ladies-only class is taught by a golf teaching professional and introduces game fundamentals to new golfers. Grip, stance, set up and ball position are taught for putting, chipping and irons along with hitting tee shots with hybrids and woods. A basic knowledge of golf equipment is included. Range balls are included in the class fee and loaner clubs are available. Final class is held on the golf course. ~


Ladies Get Golf Ready II (13-Adult

Prerequisite: Ladies Get Golf Ready I. This ladies-only class is taught by a golf teaching professional and covers advanced topics. Aim and alignment are introduced to putting, chipping and iron shots. Hybrids and woods are hit without a tee. The final class is held on the golf course. Range balls are included in the class fee and loaner clubs are available.
