(5-Adult) Challenge misconceptions about frequently misunderstood animals like snapping turtles, nonvenomous snakes, spiders and other fascinating creatures. Participants will learn to distinguish harmless Dekay's brown snake from copperheads, understand their ecological roles and develop appreciation for these important species.
(10-14 yrs.) Using a custom mod called “Computercraft”, campers program robots called “Turtles” inside the world of Minecraft. Join CyberTeck instructors to use problem-solving skills by learning how to program robots to complete various tasks and objectives such as programming their turtles to automatically build, mine, and craft items and structures. Program if-then-else statements, for-while loops, and implement functions using Lua.

(7-11 yrs.) Fish & Explore transports campers off-site to hike trails, wade in streams and walk pond and lake shores to find native wildlife. Campers observe, catch, photograph and release frogs, toads, tadpoles, salamanders, lizards, turtles, crayfish, minnows and other small critters. Wear sneakers and bring lunch, snack, river shoes, change of clothes and towel. A signed waiver form is required. No camp June 19.
Fish & Explore takes campers off-site to learn kayaking skills while getting up close to native wildlife along waterways, ponds and lakes. Beach stops allow campers to wade and observe, catch, photograph and release frogs, toads, tadpoles, salamanders, lizards, turtles and other small critters. Life jackets are provided and required while kayaking. Bring a lunch, snack, water bottle, change of clothes, sneakers or river shoes and towel. A signed waiver form is required.
(5-9 yrs.) Learn about the cool characteristics of creatures such as snakes, turtles, frogs and other cold-blooded animals. Activities include hikes to the wetland, arts and crafts, games, animal encounters and hands-on activities.
(2-4 yrs.) Meet one of our turtles and explore nature through indoor and outdoor activities including a craft. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
